Why the Entropy of a Black Hole is A/4

Abstract

The paper analyzes the relation between Bekenstein-Hawking entropy SBH of a black hole and the statistical-mechanical entropy SSM defined by counting its internal degrees of freedom. The mechanism explaining universality of SBH is proposed.
