Superconformal gravity in three dimensions as a gauge theory

Abstract

We discuss the recent formulation of conformal gravity as a first-order Chern-Simons gauge theory and show that N superconformal gravity can be treated analogously for arbitrary N. This formulation unifies the gravitational and O(N) Yang-Mills Chern-Simons actions.
