New Measurement of the πeν Branching Ratio

Abstract

A new measurement of the πeν branching ratio yields Γ(πeν+πeνγ)Γ(πμν+πμνγ)=(1.218±0.014)×104. The measured value is in good agreement with the standard-model prediction incorporating electron-muon universality.
