Empirical Renormalization of the One-Body Gamow-Teller β-Decay Matrix Elements in the 1s0d Shell

Abstract

β-decay data from nuclei with 17<~A<~39 are analyzed with full sd-space shell-model wave functions to determine the effective values of the single-particle matrix elements of the Gamow- Teller operator between all combinations of sd-shell orbitals.
