Abstract

We report the observation of decays B0Ds(*)+π and B0Ds(*)K+ in a sample of 230×106 Υ(4S)BB¯ events recorded with the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e storage ring. We measure the branching fractions B(B0Ds+π)=(1.3±0.3(stat)±0.2(syst))×105, B(B0DsK+)=(2.5±0.4(stat)±0.4(syst))×105, B(B0Ds*+π)=(2.8±0.6(stat)±0.5(syst))×105, and B(B0Ds*K+)=(2.0±0.5(stat)±0.4(syst))×105. The significances of the measurements to differ from zero are 5, 9, 6, and 5 standard deviations, respectively. This is the first observation of B0Ds+π, B0Ds*+π, and B0Ds*K+ decays.
