Geometric construction of the measure: Minisuperspace quantum gravity and the relativistic particle compared

Abstract

We examine the Polyakov functional-integral quantization of a minisuperspace model for quantum gravity using the relativistic free particle as a guideline. While formally the two models are very similar, there are differences which we expect have a genuine physical significance.
