Abstract

We analyze the fermionic vacuum currents induced by external gauge fields in lattice QED in 2+1 dimensions. We work with Wilson fermions on a 123 lattice using the conjugate gradient method to obtain the currents. In the presence of uniform or localized, static or time-dependent gauge configurations we verify the existence of an anomalous parity-violating vacuum current.
