Abstract
We report on an improved measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa -violating phase through a Dalitz plot analysis of neutral meson decays to and produced in the processes , with , , and with . Using a sample of pairs collected by the BABAR detector, we measure (mod 180°), where the first error is statistical, the second is the experimental systematic uncertainty, and the third reflects the uncertainty on the description of the Dalitz plot distributions. The corresponding 2-standard-deviation region is . This result has a significance of direct violation () of 3.0 standard deviations.
