Search for the decay $B^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{*0}(892)K^{+}$

We report on a search for the process $B^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{*0}(892)K^{+}$ using $232\times {10}^6$ $\mathit{{\rm Y}}(4S)\to B\overline{B}$ decays collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy $B$ factory at SLAC. From a signal yield of $25\pm 13[\mathrm{stat}]\pm 7[\mathrm{syst}]$ $B^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{*0}(892)(\to K^{-}{\pi }^{+})K^{+}$ events, we place an upper limit on the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{*0}(892)K^{+})$ of $1.1\times {10}^{-6}$, at the 90% confidence level.
