Abstract
We present a measurement of the time-dependent asymmetry for the neutral -meson decay into the final state , with . We use a sample of approximately 227 million -meson pairs recorded at the resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II -Factory at SLAC. From an unbinned maximum likelihood fit, we extract the mixing-induced -violation parameter and the direct -violation parameter , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.
