Quark loop contribution to π04γ

Abstract

We find the contribution of constituent quark-loop mechanism to the branching ratio of π04γ process to be B4γhadr=Γπ04γ/Γπ02γ5.45·1016 for the reasonable choice of constituent quark mass m280MeV. This result is in agreement with the vector-dominance approach result obtained years ago. Thus the main contribution arises from the QED mechanism π0γ(γ*)γ(3γ) including light-light scattering block with electron loop. This contribution was investigated in the paper of one of us and gave B4γQED2.6·1011.
