Abstract

Recent CP violation results in B decays suggest that Z penguins may have large weak phase. This can be realized by the four generation (standard) model. Concurrently, BXs+ and Bs mixing allow for sizable Vts*Vtb only if it is nearly imaginary. Such large effects in bs transitions would affect sd transitions, as kaon constraints would demand Vtd0. Using Γ(Zbb¯) to bound |Vtb|, we infer sizable |Vts||Vtb||Vus|. Imposing εK, K+π+νν¯ and ε/ε constraints, we find Vtd*Vts few ×104 with large phase, enhancing KLπ0νν¯ to 5×1010 or even higher. Interestingly, ΔmBd and sin2ΦBd are not much affected, as |Vtd*Vtb||Vtd*Vtb|0.01.
