Experimental limits on the width of the reported Θ(1540)+

Abstract

Using data on K+ collisions on xenon and deuterium we derive values and limits on the width of the reported Θ(1540)+ exotic baryon resonance. The xenon experiment gives a width of 0.9±0.3MeV. The other experiments give upper limits in the range 1–4 MeV.
