Measurement of the masses and widths of the ${\Sigma }_c^{++}$ and ${\Sigma }_c^0$ charmed baryons

Using data recorded by the CLEO II and CLEO II.V detector configurations at CESR, we report new measurements of the masses of the ${\Sigma }_c^{++}$ and ${\Sigma }_c^0$ charmed baryons, and the first measurements of their intrinsic widths. We find $M\left({\Sigma }_c^{++}\right)-M\left({\Lambda }_c^{+}\right)=167.4\mathrm{}\pm 0.1\pm 0.2\hspace{0.5em}\mathrm{MeV},$ $\Gamma \left({\Sigma }_c^{++}\right)=2.3\mathrm{}\pm 0.2\pm 0.3\hspace{0.5em}\mathrm{MeV},$ and $M\left({\Sigma }_c^0\right)-M\left({\Lambda }_c^{+}\right)=167.2\mathrm{}\pm 0.1\pm 0.2\hspace{0.5em}\mathrm{MeV},\hspace{0.5em}\hspace{0.5em}\Gamma \left({\Sigma }_c^0\right)=2.5\mathrm{}\pm 0.2\pm 0.3\hspace{0.5em}\mathrm{MeV},$ where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.
