Can the QCD effective charge be symmetrical in the Euclidean and Minkowskian regions?

Abstract

We study a possible symmetrical behavior of the effective charges defined in the Euclidean and Minkowskian regions and prove that such symmetry is inconsistent with general principles of the theory.
