Mass spectrum and correlation function of quantum vortices in the Abelian Higgs model

Abstract

A recently introduced method of vortex quantization based on a dual algebra involving nonlocal vortex fields is applied to the Abelian Higgs model in 2+1 dimensions. Explicit expressions for the vortex mass as well as for the asymptotic behavior of vortex correlation functions are obtained.
