Abstract
The neutron-induced fission cross section of target nuclide is calculated consistently with the (n,F), () and () reaction cross section up to MeV. The fission probability of the nuclide, fissioning in () reaction is shown to be compatible with the surrogate () fission probability and ratio of fission probability (())/(()), data up to MeV. The () reaction contribution to the observed cross section up to MeV is defined by the collective levels of the at saddle deformations, lying within the pairing gap. The importance of the lowering of anomalous rotational -band band levels at saddle deformations is demonstrated. The excitation of the two-quasiparticle states at saddle deformations of the fissioniong nuclide is evidenced. fission cross section is predicted up to MeV.
