Abstract

Charged-particle correlations were measured for the reactions N14+197Au and N14+27Al at E/A=75 MeV and for Xe129+27Al and Xe129+122Sn at E/A=31 MeV. Relative populations of widely separated states in He4, Li5, and Be8, only weakly affected by side feeding, indicate emission temperatures of T=4–5 MeV for the induced14 reactions and values about 1 MeV lower for the induced129 reactions.
