Abstract

High-spin states have been investigated with the Sr88(Li7,p2n)Zr92 reaction by γ-γ coincidence, γ-ray angular distribution, and pulsed beam-γ timing measurements with Ge(Li) detectors. Decay schemes, level energies, and spin-parity information were obtained for Zr92 from the data. The high-spin states involving the (π1g92)2(ν2d52)2 configuration were identified, with the (12+) member being at 4947 keV. Tentative identification of the members of the (π1g92π2p12)(ν2d52)2 configuration has also been made. The observed experimental levels in Zr92 are compared with recent theoretical calculations.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Sr88(Li7,p2n)ELi=34 MeV; measured γ-γ coincidences, γ(E,θ,t); deduced level scheme in Zr92, γ multipolarities, Jπ. Natural target, Ge(Li) detectors.
