Abstract

A relation connecting the spin dependence of the energies E(I+2) of the members of the rotational ground-state band with the E2 reduced transition probabilities B(E2;(I+2)1I1) is derived based on the Bohr Hamiltonian. This relation generalizes the Grodzins relation from the 21+ state to all members of the ground-state band.
