Abstract
We investigate the Λ-attachment probabilities A to the fission fragments formed in Λ-accompanied nuclear fission. Assuming that initially the hyperon has an occupation probability of single-Λ states with a Gaussian form we study the influence of the shape of the scission configuration on the attachment probability. Only a weak dependence of A on the width and on the position of the center of the initial occupation distribution is found. Unfortunately it masks the also very weak dependence of this quantity on the shape of the scission configuration. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
