Abstract

We have studied He4-p collisions at a He4 incident momentum of 8.56 GeV/c using the 1 m Dubna bubble chamber. The pHe4 elastic scattering, the coherent p+He4N+He4+π production and the breakup reaction p+He4p+He3+n have been investigated. Cross sections and production features are presented. From the breakup reaction, subsamples of events in which a He3 or a n appear as spectators were selected. These events were used to study the virtual pnpn and p+He3p+He3 scattering.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS He4(p, p), (p, pπ0), (p, nπ+), (p, pn), E=1.41 GeV; bubble chamber; measured σ; deduced n(p, p), He3(p, p).
