Abstract

We have investigated both experimentally and computationally angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy spectra of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ and (BiPb)2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ with circularly polarized light. The large circular dichroism in the angular distribution of photoelectrons is reproduced by nonmagnetic one-step calculations within dipole approximation. A strong dependence of spectral weight on experimental parameters, especially on excitation energy, is found.
