Abstract
The boron contribution to the total spin moment in the amorphous alloys has been determined using magnetic Compton scattering. The magnitude of the induced boron moment was found to be per formula unit which is a factor of less than that suggested by supercell linearized muffin-tin orbital electronic structure calculations.
