Abstract

An analytical perturbation model for calculating the binding energy of excitons in generalized infinite quantum wells is presented. The position and size of the wells for both particles can be different, allowing the consideration of many different geometries. Analytical derivation has been developed to a point where the numerical final resolution is very much reduced. Since this is a perturbation method, the results can be as precise as one requires.
