Abstract
The influence of disorder on the density of states (DOS) of a quantum dot is calculated using a perturbative diagrammatic method. The presence of elastic scatterers in the dot broadens the DOS peaks and reduces their height. This behavior may be detected by tunneling experiments as well as by far infrared spectroscopy measurements.
