Abstract

The model of a multiple-quantum-well (MQW) structure in the vicinity of a high surface potential is studied to understand the interaction between the Tamm states and the unperturbed interior states of near-surface MQW’s. A finite number of wells, different degrees of interwell coupling, and the influence of the cap-layer thickness are considered.
