Abstract

We study theoretically quantization effects in intrasubband magnetoplasmon energy spectra, for both quasi-one-dimensional (1D) and quasi-2D structures, using random-phase-approximation calculations. We find interesting peak structures in the intrasubband magnetoplasmon energy spectra when the Fermi surface crosses new energy subbands. The heights of such peaks are quantitatively calculated. Experimental accessibility of such effect is discussed.
