Abstract

Magnetoluminescence measurements performed on GaAs/AlxGa1xAs quantum wells grown on a vicinal substrate show a blueshift of the excitonic transitions compared with those obtained on a reference sample grown on nominal substrates. This blueshift is interpreted in terms of the lateral modulation induced by the steps array resulting from the use of vicinal surfaces.
