Abstract

The equilibrium properties and dynamic response of quantum-dot structures with and without magnetic fields are calculated, starting from a confining potential of parabolic shape. Within our analytical theory we can calculate all eigenmodes of the systems. Our calculation can explain the experimentally observed mode spectrum of quantum-dot structures containing about 200 electrons in a disk of radius R≊150 nm.
