Abstract
We have measured photoconductivity and hot-electron-carrier properties of pure n-type Te in high magnetic fields. In this dilute-metal-like semiconductor the low-temperature magnetotransport is solely governed by an activated mobility of electrons. Obviously, the predicted magnetic-field-induced Wigner condensation of free electrons is established by a state similar to a viscous liquid.
