Abstract

We present results of a joint theoretical and experimental investigation of electron scattering from the 4s2S1 ground state of zinc. The 4s4pPo1 and 4s5pPo1 differential cross sections were measured at scattering angles between 10° and 150° and electron-energies of 15, 20, 25, 40, and 60 eV. Corresponding convergent close-coupling calculations have been performed and are compared with experiment.
