Abstract

Considering intense two-photon coherent states with minimum phase dispersion, the width of the phase probability distributions based on the Pegg-Barnett formalism, the Wigner function, and the Q function is discussed. Remarkable differences are found in certain regions depending on the mean photon number. These results are compared with the phase uncertainty of phase optimized states.
