Cosmological source of vacuum electromagnetic zero-point energy

Abstract

The model for the origin of the zero-point electromagnetic field by Puthoff [Phys. Rev. A 40, 4857, 1989] is physically interesting but mathematically flawed. Here we give the correct calculation in general relativity and make some comments on it.
