Abstract

The form of the nucleon-nucleon scattering amplitude is determined subject to the restriction that baryon-baryon scattering be invariant under SU(12)L transformations. The results are found to disagree with experiment. The possibility that SU(12)L may be a "leading approximation" to a true S-matrix theory is discussed briefly.
